Davis: Attractions and more...
Blackwater Falls State Park is a very nice camping place. It has some very good modern amenities and is a popular place with the locals here.
Cheat River Outfitters is the second outfitter in West Virginia and has 25 years of professional expertise in rafting.
There are places for snow sports that are equally enjoyed, like Timberline four season resorts and White Grass Touring Center. A historical monument was built by Henry Gassaway Davis in the year 1893, as his then summer home and was later used for two generations of his family.
This happens to be a historic sight and can be visited for free on the campus of Davis and Elkins College.
The neighboring cities of Davis are also good tourist places, like Elkins is just 25 miles away towards the South West, Fairmont is just 43 miles in the North East direction and Morgantown is just 44 miles in the North West direction.
Events are like bonds in the community living of any place, as it gets one closer to each other and helps in making new friends in the neighborhood.
One such event is the Annual Winterfest. It is anxiously waited for and people really enjoy participating or even being spectators of this fest.
