The Valley Falls State Park is a place of scenic beauty and historical significance. The park continues to grow in its popularity with both local and the tourists. Prior to becoming a park, this area was Tygart Valley River in the 1800s and was a thriving railroad community. It was also a popular recreation area. The park, at present, provides its visitors many selections of activities like fishing, hiking trails game courts and also a picnic area.
