Anna Jarvis Birthplace Museum is the birth place of Anna Jarvis the founder of Mother’s Day. This building is a two storied wooden house that was constructed by her father in the year 1854. During the civil war this building was the head quarters for the wheeling Staunton Turnpike and was the “Back Door to the South”. The museum is restoresdby Thunder on the Tygart, Inc without using any kind of federal or county funds.
