The beautiful city of Beloit is located along the Interstate 39/90 to the north of the Wisconsin border. It is situated along the beautiful Rock River.
Beloit was founded in 1836 and was incorporated as a village in 1846. It was officially incorporated as a city by the State of Wisconsin in 1856. After 161 years of its founding, this city covers almost 17 square miles.
As of 2007 census, the estimated population of the city was 37,710. Beloit is also home to Wright Museum of Art and Beloit Civic Theatre. Moreover, this city is home to more than 850 retail establishments, 88 industrial firms and many corporate headquarters and museums. There is also an international acclaimed college which bears the name of the community.
