Tourist Guide Eau Claire
Eau Claire is located in the western region of the state of Wisconsin in the USA. This city with a population of approximately 65,000 inhabitants is the chief administrative centre of the county which goes by the same name. A small area of the city extends into the neighbouring Chippewa County.
Summers in Eau Claire are pleasant with an average temperature of 28.3°C, but in winters, the temperature often drops to as low as –17°C. August is the rainiest month, while maximum snowfall occurs in December and January.
Eau Claire is situated at the meeting point of two rivers, and thus, several valleys with steep river banks make up the terrain of the region. The outskirts of the city are spread out over the surrounding hilly area.
For many decades since its interception in the late nineteenth century, the lumber industry formed the background of the town’s economy; numerous sawmills were scattered around the town.Explore map
