Tourist Guide Egg Harbor
Egg Harbor is the name of the village located within the town by the same name in the state of Wisconsin in the USA. This village with a population of approximately 200 inhabitants is located along Lake Michigan.
July and August are the warmest months of the year with the average daytime temperature at 26.6°C; maximum rainfall is also at this time. During winters, the temperature often drops as low as –13.3°C, and there is heavy snowfall.
In 1825 when a barge carrying traders was trying to dock at the harbour near the village, a friendly game of egg throwing erupted between the traders and the villagers. The entire shoreline as well as the landing area was left covered with eggshells!
Limestone cliffs rise up from the shores along the lake. The surrounding terrain is rugged with rolling hills. The area is home to one of the biggest golf courses in the country.Explore map
