Holmen is a village located in the county of La Crosse, Wisconsin in United States of America and incorporated on 7th may, 1946. It is the fastest growing municipality in the state of Wisconsin.Geographically Holmen village is placed at 43˚57’19”N and 91˚15’33”W. The village is located about 705 ft above the sea level and covers an area of 3.2 square miles of land.Holmen village has a population of 6,200 as per the census of 2000 with 2,258 households and 1,698 families residing in the village. It has a population density of 1,944.9 people per square mile.Holmen is placed in the beautiful Mississippi River Basin the Mississippi River passes to the west of the village. It is home to the many wooded areas, hills, and bluffs.The annual average precipitation at Holmen is 32.36 inches and rainfall in evenly distributed throughout the year. The climate tends to be moderate during the summer and fair during the winter.
