The total area covered by Wisconsin is 169,790 sq km. It has about 5,363,700 inhabitants, its capital being Madison.
Wisconsin, a state in the US, is bordered by the Montreal River; the Great Lakes—Lake Michigan and Lake Superior; and the states of Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota. Due to its location between the Mississippi River and the Great Lakes, the state of Wisconsin exhibits a wide variety in its landscape, which renders it a favourite tourist destination.
Though manufacturing, agriculture and health care form the basis of Wisconsin’s economy, the state has an important and fast emerging tourist industry. Christianity is the predominant religion in the state.
Very friendly place. Very easy to move around thanks to its many wide sidewalks and walking trials around every corner. most visitors to Kenosha shop at nearby Pleasant Prairie's Prime Outlets strip mall, which contains factory outlets for a diverse mix of retailers, perfect place for shopping at good prices. attractions include the Dinosaur Discovery Museum, the Kenosha Public Museum, the Longaberger Basket Fest, Mars Cheese Castle and the opening of a holiday-season Jelly Belly retail outlet. Kenosha is ringed by an emerald necklace of recreational city and county parks, and has (29 km) of Lake Michigan shoreline frontage, nearly all of which is public.
Madison is a beautiful city with plenty to do. It is full of many delicious local restaurants, and plenty of shopping areas. I would suggest spending some time on State street, touring the beautiful UW campus, and checking out the West Towne Mall, which is bountiful in stores. Don't fall into the typical trap of eating at a chain restaurant while there, try something new! I would suggest Pizza Brutta on Monroe street, or Cooper's Tavern in Capital Square. If you're outdoorsy however, there are plenty of fun parks and areas of nature. Check out the Arboretum or the Vilas Zoo if you have kids!
