Madison University or the University of Wisconsin-Madison is a public research university which is situated in Madison in Wisconsin in United States. This remarkable university was founded in the year 1848 and it became a land grant institution in 1866. It has 933 acre of main campus which includes four National Historic Landmarks. The university is organized into twenty schools which has till date enrolled almost 29,153 undergraduates, 2,570 professional students, 8,710 graduates and granted 6,040 bachelor’s and around 3,328 graduates and professional degrees in 2008. Carolyn “Biddy” Martin is its chancellor.
