Olbrich Botanical Gardens is named for its founder, Michael Olbrich. The gardens are owned and operated by the Madison Parks and the nonprofit Olbrich Botanical Society. Officially established in 1952, the gardens were made up of separate garden areas. It has a greenhouse named the Bolz Conservatory housing more than 750 plants with over 70 families and 550 different species and cultivars.
