Tourist Guide Stevens Point
Stevens Point is located in heart of the state of Wisconsin in the USA. This town with a population of approximately 24,500 inhabitants is the administrative centre of the county.
July and August are the warmest months with the average maximum temperatures at 26.6°C. December and January get the maximum amount of snowfall and the minimum average temperature is –16°C.
One of the first settlements to come up here was a brewery, built more than 150 years ago. Its location along the bend of Wisconsin River made Stevens Point a popular stopping point for the lumber tradesmen. Several bars and watering holes came up to along the river to cater to these loggers.
Over the years, Stevens Point has become known for supernatural sightings and stories of haunted houses. One of the main attractions for the visitors is to visit these so called haunted sites.
