Beware of suckers, while swimming or fishing, which are in plenty in the Lake Michigan tributaries.

If conditions here are wet or soft, bikers should exercise good trail ethics and not use muddy or soft trails as they are more prone to damage. Keep away from the minority community of Sturgeon Bay.

Some of the communitywide issues in Sturgeon Bay include the lack of sidewalks on many streets, making it difficult to walk as only a few adult crossing guards are utilized by the city which makes crossing the street difficult for school kids.

Most of the conflicts occur due to lack of driving etiquettes by automobiles. Although Sturgeon Bay maintains an efficient system of roadways for motorized vehicles, many motorists who speed do not yield right-of-way to pedestrians in crosswalks.
