Wisconsin Dells is situated towards the southern part of the state of Wisconsin in the USA. The city is located in the valley formed by River Wisconsin; sandstone cliffs line the bank of the river.
The area developed into a popular site for visitors more than 150 years ago. Boat tours to the region were being organised since the nineteenth century.
Today, the city has a population of approximately 2,100 inhabitants and, along with the surrounding area, forms a region known as ‘the Dells’. This area is known as the Waterpark Capital of the World. It is one of the chief tourist spots of the country attracting millions every year.
Summers in Wisconsin Dells are pleasant with the average temperature at 22°C, but there are days when the temperature may go as high as 35°C. January is the coldest month with the heaviest rainfall; temperatures drop to as low as –18°C.
