The city of Afton which is actually a town is situated in the Lincoln County in the United States. Afton city is a home to the world's largest elk horn arch. The city is elevated to 6,267 feet above sea level. It is the largest city in Star valley which is a grassland valley in forested mountains. According to the United States Census Bureau, the area of the city of Afton is about 8.9 square kilometers. As the city is placed in the north western part of USA the weather is hot in summers and in winters. The temperature in this part is usually high throughout the year. The lowest temperature recorded here is about 15 degrees and the average temperature here in summer is around 49 degrees. The city of Afton is very active throughout the year due to different kinds of activities being carried out here all the time. As per the census recorded in the year 2000, the total population residing in this city is around 1,818 people. It is famous for its scenic landscapes.
