The Buffalo city comes under the jurisdiction of the Johnson County. The Interstate 25 terminal is located in the southern region of the city. From the total area of the state of Wyoming the Buffalo city geographically comprises a total area of around 9.5 square kilometers. Thus the city is not so large and is one of the smallest cities of the Wyoming state. Even though the city is small in size it is very densely populated. The climate of Buffalo is of the semi arid type. In summers the temperature ranges from 25 to 35 degree Celsius. The winters are cold and dry.
