Tourist Guide Cody
Cody is located in the northern part of the state of Wyoming in the USA. The self proclaimed Rodeo Capital of the World, influence of the Wild West is still apparent here.
The climate in Cody is sunny and dry. Summertime temperatures average at 38°C on the higher side, while during winters the minimum average is –12°C. But, the weather here is unpredictable, and there is known to be a sudden drastic drop in temperature in the summer months.
The richness of the soil and the variety and large quantities of fauna is what initially attracted settlers to this area. The building of a dam and reservoir in the area provided a further boost to the development of the region and the community.
This city with a population of approximately 8,800 inhabitants is the county seat of Park County, and the eastern gateway to Yellowstone National Park. Cody thus gets a lot of tourists en route to the national park.
