Fort Fetterman State Historic Site can be described as one amongst a few ‘original’ frontier posts in Douglas. Having been considered as hardship post with regards to junction of Morman/Oregan and Bozeman trails; this thing is just amazing! It had been open to public between 1867 and 1882; thereby having become an extremely wild-west town till the year 1887; thanks to hangings, robbings, and shootouts.
