Kaycee is a town which is located in Johnson County in Wyoming. As per the 2000 census, the population of the town was merely 249. It is home to some interesting museum which preserves the cattle ranching heritage of the town. The museum also preserves the history of the Johnson County War. As per the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.3 square miles of land.
Kaycee town can be found in southern side of Johnson County and this is where one can find himself surrounded by the Old West history. There are Indian battles, settler’s homesteads, rustler’s ranges and also outlaw hideouts at Kaycee. Kaycee is also situated near the banks of the Powder River which is around 45 miles to the south of Buffalo.
