Medicine Bow is located in the Carbon county of Wyoming in United States.
This town came into existence due to the construction of transcontinental rail road in the year 1868. Although it is a small town but it offers varied services that may not one get in other small towns. There are many historical sites that give reflection of the past of this place. Another interesting fact of this place is visitors can find some of the fossils of the extinct species dinosaur.
Medicine Bow has a huge wind energy development plant. The town got its name from the Native American tribes who were the first inhabitants in this town. The tribes found good material for their bows along one of the river banks and after wards whatever they found good, started calling them as “medicine”. And thus the name of the river Medicine Bow was formed. After that a village started and was called as Medicine Bow
