A county seat of Sublette, Pinedale is located in Wyoming, United States. It is doorway Wind River Mountain and is one of the most important hunting outfitting towns in Wyoming. It also serves as the doorway to the area of Jackson Hole area which located at a distance of 78 miles towards the south. The area has an abundance of many large natural gas fields which includes Jonah Field.
The city of Pinedale has extreme climate. The month of July is very hot with temperature reaching in 70s while January is very cold with lowest temperature in the negatives. 11.1 inches of precipitation occurs annually.
The total population of the city in 2000 was 1412 and the city covered an area of 1.4 square miles. The city has one main street called the Pine Street which is a part of Highway 191. The area is nestled in the Upper Green River Valley amidst three mountain ranges. Two designated wilderness areas are also included in the city.
