Tourist Guide Teton Village
Teton Village is located in the north-western part of the state of Wyoming in the USA. This village with a population of approximately 175 inhabitants stands at the base of the Teton Mountain Range.
Summers in the village are warm and pleasant with long hours of sunshine. The average maximum temperature at this time is 26.5°C. January is the coldest month with temperatures consistently below the freezing point.
The area was popular with fur trappers, and eventually people started settling here. In the twentieth century, several dude ranches came up here in a bid to lure tourists to experience life on a real ranch.
In recent years, the village has become popular owing to its proximity to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the largest ski area in the state. Teton has the appearance of a Swiss village and caters largely to the requirements of the resort guests.
