Buffalo National River is one of the few freely flowing rivers in the United States. The 138-mile long river has picturesque scenic beauty all along its route. The landscape includes caves, mountains, forests, springs, waterfalls and so forth. There is provision for activities like fishing, canoeing, kayaking and rafting in the river. The banks of the Buffalo River have thirteen campgrounds; it is a great experience to camp in the open by the beautiful river. The main visitor centre at Tyler Bend is a must-visit. There are also several trails for hiking and horseback riding in the park. The Buffalo Point Ranger Station and Pruitt Ranger Station are the main ranger stations in the park where a number of activities are organised for the tourists.
