The landscape of the Redwood National and State Parks has enchanting scenic beauty with sequoia redwood trees, coastal mountains and rare wildlife. It was established on 1 January 1968 and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1980. This site offers a number of attractions. The Enderts Beach and Crescent Beach Overlook are must-visits. They offer an excellent view of the Pacific Ocean. The Fern Canyon has a magnificent sight with almost 30 feet of walls covered with ferns. This park is also home to some of the rare and beautiful animals like the sea lion, bald eagle, tidewater goby, elk and California brown pelican.
Outdoor activity options include bicycling, horseback riding, hiking, kayaking and other ranger-led programmes. |
