Throsby Park Historic Site, previously owned by the Throsby family, illustrates the way of life of early colonial landholders. This site was established by the Throsby family in 1834, who were major producers of primary products.
The site protects prime examples of early nineteenth-century rural property, such as the colonial Georgian Throsby Park house, orchards, farms and the associated farm buildings including the barn, flour mill and stables. This site is listed on the National Estate and the State Heritage as an important site.
