Lanyon Marketplace makes its home in Conder, a suburb Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, and services the suburbs of Lanyon Valley. Home to nearly 20 retail and service shops, the marketplace is anchored by Woolworths Supermarket and Woolworths Liquor, both part of Australia’s largest grocery store chain.

Lanyon’s other tenants include fast food restaurants like Subway, Conder Takeaway and Dim Sim Cafe, bakeries such as Bakers Delight and Michel’s Patisserie, a salon, pharmacy, post office, news agency and three ATMs. The marketplace, opened in 1997, has all of the essentials, so there’s no reason to stop anywhere else on a basic shopping trip.

The shopping centre also hosts an arts and crafts market every Friday from 1 to 9 p.m. Run by two local residents, the market showcases the talent of the area’s foremost artisans and benefits a nearby school.

The air-conditioned Lanyon Marketplace is located on Sidney Nolan Street. It offers more than 300 free parking spots and is also served by two convenient bus routes.
