The Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG) is located in Canberra and are administered by the Australian Government's Department of the Environment. The gardens are a collection of native Australian flora and promote these. The garden maintains a wide variety of resources for researchers and cultivates native plants. The gardens have an area over 90 hectares on Black Mountain. About 40 hectares of land are currently developed as the Botanic Gardens. The gardens manages plenty amount of plant databases, including their name, origin, etc. The gardens' have a library consisting of books, journals, CD-ROMs and maps which is made available to students on the basis of appointment.
