The Ginninderra is one of the three bodies of electors for the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly. It has 5 seats, and also is the smallest body of electors comprising the area of the centre of Belconnen, and also the suburb of Nicholls, which had been transferred from Molonglo around 1998. Its south-western boundary is the Molonglo River and small portion of the Murrumbidgee River.
