Kingston: Attractions and more...
Kingston is a very modern city but it still adds a lot of nostalgia as it preserves the remains of the traditional houses of the nineteenth century. Kingston is rightly called the market of Canberra as it holds the Kingston Shopping Centre. It was one of the earliest and finest shopping complexes of its time. One should take note of the Kingston Powerhouse, which is a monument to relish. During olden times, bus tourists were attracted by selling some handcrafted goods and this eventually led to the generation of shopping festivals. These festivals are held on the lakeside every Sunday. The food courts set-up here are a feast for the common man and the handicrafts are something that cannot be described on paper. Kingston is also famous for its nightlife and its varied collection of bars. Some Volcano Mountains are also available through out the outskirts of the city; Laidlaw Volcanic, Paddys River are amongst them.
