“Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”, nature leaves no stone unturned to make this phrase true, and anyone who visits this place just cannot have enough of this place. It covers a large landmass of around 7000 sq. km. It is named after Mount Kosciuszko, which boasts of being the highest peak in the region. The main characteristic here is the alpine type of climate that surrounds this region. Its neighbors are highly popular such as to the south it has New South Wales. The park is a couple of hundred kms away from Sydney, the capital of Australia. It is also connected to the Alpine National Park and the ever-green Namadgi National park. It is also the starting point of highly important rivers i.e. the Murray, the Gungarlin and of course the Snowy. The climate gets harsh during the winters. A minimum record of temperature was once recorded as (-23 degrees). This National park is constantly subject to heavy snow and rainfall.
