Most of the attractions in Broome are clustered at one area.
Chinatown has a mix of Colonial and Asian architecture, a reminder of Broome’s historical past. You can view Pearl Luggers, Steeter’s Jetty and Johnny Chi Lane to get a close insight into pearling. Most importantly, Chinatown is the city’s main shopping district. Take some good photographs of the incredible formations and colours at Gantheaume Point.
You will also see the lighthouse and Anastasia’s Pool, a small pool that fills up during high tide. At low tide you may also get a chance to see a part of Anastasia’s Pool. Watch the Staircase to the Moon in the Town Beach Area. You will also see the wreck of a flying boat at low tide. See the collection of live shells at the Shell House of Guy Street.
Other attractions to visit are Riddell Beach, Drovers Memorial, and Purnululu National Park. 800,000 birds are on view at the Broome Bird Observatory.
