Margaret River can be referred to as a town located in south-western part of ‘Western Australia’; in valley of eponymous ‘Margaret River’, at a distance of 277 Km on the southern side of Perth, i.e. state capital.
‘Shire of Augusta-Margaret River’ is the local government region. The adjoining area is ‘Margaret River Wine Region’. As the name suggests, it has gained popularity with respect to tourism and production. As such, it attracts around 500000 visitors every day.
Previously, this area had been known for agricultural as well as hardwood timber production. Margaret River lies at a distance of 9 Km from Indian Ocean; that too, half-way between Cape Leeuwin and Cape Naturaliste.
