Albury is located in New South Wales in Australia on the Hume Highway to the northern side of Murray River.
One can experience the charming beauty with the glorious river lifestyle, the unique cultural heritage with wonderful dining and wining. Two cities come close to Murray river especially the New South Wales and Victoria with an unique and dynamic community.
The place was first inhabited by explorers Hume and Hovell arrived at the present Murray River in the year 1824. At that time they named the river as Hume River and scribed a tree by the river bank.
In the year 1851 with the separation of Victoria from New South Wales and Albury was formed as a town. The land of Albury was used for growing grapes for wine and later on developed butter factory, flour mill and breweries.
The climate of this place is extreme.
The population of this place comes to 43, 787 according to 2000 census.
