Attractions and Places to visit Byron Bay

The headland offers an excellent point for watching the dolphins and the whales. Byron Bay has also several national parks like the Arakwal National Park, Mooball National Park and Mt. Warning National Park. These parks house a variety of threatened wildlife such as the long nose potoroo, marbled frog mouth etc.

The Cape Byron Lighthouse, 22 m in height and situated 94 m above sea level, stands for the architectural finesse of Byron Bay. Constructed on a rocky headland it aids ships and is also a major tourist attraction.

Those looking for an adventure should opt for hand gliding by the lighthouse, surfing on one of the beaches or snorkelling and scuba diving. Byron Bay also hosts a number art festivals, the most famous one being the Blues and Roots Music Festival which is held during Easter.
