Dubbo can be described as a city located in ‘Central Western region’ pertaining to New South Wales, Australia. Dubbo lies at intersection of Golden, Newell, and Mitchell highways. This city stands at an approximate distance of 275 meters above ‘sea level’, and 258 miles on the west-north-western side of Sydney, the state capital. Furthermore, Dubbo is one of the main rail freight hubs and roads to the other portions of ‘New South Wales’. This place is, in fact, considered to be ‘cross-roads’ with regards to New South Wales. One can drive towards the north (Brisbane), south (Melbourne), east (Sydney and Newcastle), and west (Adelaide and Broken Hill).
The ‘Macquarie River’ flows through Dubbo. Troy Creek also does the same. An interesting fact is that this city lies in a ‘transition zone’ between tablelands and ranges of Great Dividing range on the eastern side and ‘Darling Basin’ plains on the western side.
