An age-old digging settlement lies at the distance of 37 Km on the north-western side of Goulburn. There had been bushranger hideouts and gold-diggers’ camps in many other villages within this area. Abercrombie Caves stand at the distance of 60 Km on the northern side of town along Bathurst road.
