Griffith is located in the south western part of New South Wales in Australia. This city is also the county seat for the City of Griffith local government area.
Griffith came into existence in the year 1916 as a part of New South Wales State Government’s Murrunbridge irrigation area. Farming proved to be successful in this area with crops such as fruits and all kinds of vegetables. Vineyards were established from a long time and thus breweries came into existence.
With development of the irrigation pump this placed has developed as a agricultural base for Australia. And this gave the city one more name as “Australia’s Wine and Food Country” with a wide variety of wine and a range of fresh vegetables this place is favorite among tourist destinations.
Apart from this Griffith also some of the attractions that are worth visiting.
The climate of this place is quiet comfortable and can be visited at any time of the year.
The population of this town comes to 16,182 according to 2000 census.
