Hawkesbury Valley can be described as a ‘taste of country’ on the doorstep of Sydney. Located approximately at an hour’s drive on the north-western side of Sydney City; Hawkesbury valley is a place which cannot be missed out. Country atmosphere with regards to towns that are of historic importance such as St Albans, Richmond, Windsor; along with quaint settlements relating to Bilpin, Kurrajong, Lower Portland, Pitt-Town, Ebenezer, Wisemans and Colo Ferry; go on to have made up such a picturesque area called ‘Hawkesbury Valley’. One can pay a visit to several craft and antique stalls. He/she can also devote some time chatting with local artists at boutique galleries. It’s advisable to walk in Steps of Masters in Artist’s Trail. Hawkesbury river’s western end goes on to form a boundary for Sydney area; thereby having wound its way via the valley. Charming highways have been constructed.
