There is an important landmark which is Mount Canobolas. This is at an altitude of 1,395 meters which comes to 4,577 feet. It gives some of the commanding views of the district. Orange is one of the few cities in Australia which receives frequent snowfalls in winter.

There are many parks in Orange like the Endeavour Park, the Roberston Park and the Mathhews Park. One can also leisurely stroll in the Wade Park and the Moulder Park, Botanic Park and the Cook Park. There are also cultural activities like Theatres, Music Conservatorium, Galleries and Library which interests tourist.

There are a number of events which take place in Orange city. This includes the Farmers Market. One can attend the Orange Wine Event which is held for a week and which is a festival celebrating all good things that the city has to offer. One can visit this event in spring and enjoy the taste of wine, see the art shows and have special lunch and dinner with live music. There are also markets that produce some of the fresh fruits in the city.
