A community based organization The Old Ghan Train Museum and Heritage Railway works tirelessly in saving the history of the Old Ghan Train in Alice Springs. A W924 Steam engine, DH40 Shunting engine, NSU diesel locomotive, and various carriages are on display at the museum. The eons of Old Ghan heritage are covered with the help of memorabilia and photographs.
