Alice Springs Desert Park
This is more of an environmental education facility than a park which aims to enlighten the tourists about the aspects of surrounding desert region. The park is spread over 1300 ha of land consisting of native flora and fauna of the region.
Alice Springs Reptile Centre
Alice Springs Reptile Center is environmental education facility and reptile centre in Alice Springs. This center houses a large collection of reptiles from the Northern Territory including Frill-necked Lizards, Thorny Devils, Perentie Goanna; snakes of different kinds like pythons, venomous snakes include Death Adders, Inland Taipans, Brown Snakes and Mulga Snakes.
MacDonnell Ranges
MacDonnell Ranges are long chain of mountains running about 644 km situated in the centre of Australia. The ranges are rocky and famous for their red quartzite gorges and peaks. Attractions which are close to these ranges are Emily Gap, Jessie Gap on the east of Alice Springs and Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm on the West of Alice Springs.
