Newport Lakes Parkland is just 15 Km away from Ayangula. This was once a quarry. It has been restored to better state by planting thousands of Australian shrubs and native trees. The fine and pleasant weather attracts tourists for picnics or just a simple walk in the park. The credit goes to the local community for making this place an ideal one for tourism.
