Borroloola can be described as a town located in Australia’s Northern Territory.
Borroloola stands along the banks of McArthur River, around 50 kilometers upstream from Gulf of Carpentaria. Borroloola lies on coastal plain; all between Gulf of Carpentaria and Barkly Tablelands. River running between Tablelands escarpment and gulf flood on the regular basis in the rainy season, i.e. wet season. This makes traveling on Highway One’s unsealed section along coastal plain towards Queensland literally impossible.
Borroloola Community Education Center, i.e. CEC goes on to contain a pre-school, primary, seconday schools. This center’s staff is around 25 in number. This staff usually comprises of ‘out-of-state teachers’ and ‘local aboriginal teacher aides. The attendance witnessed by CEC is around 100. Two major problems that are being faced right now are indefinite attendance on the part of students and high turnover on the part of staff.
As per 2006 census, population of Borroloola was 773.
