Litchfield: Attractions and more...
Litchfield National Park is a major attraction for many visitors. The park is linked by a sealed road which two wheeler drivers can easily access. On the other hand, Wangi Falls is a popular attraction here for tourists. There are a large range of walking paths offered by the Litchfield National Park, along with a bush walk ranging round about 39 km with cascading waterfalls, trickling creek lines, uninterrupted pockets of tropical monsoon rainforest and crystal clear pools. The Litchfield National Park has a beautiful Green ant Creek, which is 22 km away from part of the Tabletop Track, as well as from the fairy-wrens. One can spot kingfishers, pigeons and honey-eaters as well as different kind of birdlife inhabited through the pockets of the cool monsoon rainforest.
Green ant Creek is an area under the Tjaetaba Falls and this region is being recognized as an indigenous site. Visitors visiting the site are not allowed to enter the water or swim.
