Tourist Guide Renner Springs
Renner Springs is an important tourist area of Stuart Highway that is situated 820 km away from Darwin and 662 km away from Alice Springs. It is 161 km northward of Tennant Creek and is popularly called as 'The Heart of the Beef Country'. This place was named after Dr Renner who dispensed medical advice to the team. Renner Springs is rich with freshwater springs that bubble up from the subversive springs. The Renner Springs Races and annual get-together of Renner Springs is celebrated at Tennant Creek. The Roadhouse building, an army hut of Renner Springs was moved to Banka Banka Station which is 50km south from Renner Springs. Now, here is organized a bush camp where visitors are able to know the history of the Banka Banka Station. The climate of Renner Springs is approximately pleasant. The highest temperature during summer is 35 °c and the lowest is 21 °c, while in winter, the temperature may go up to 20 °c and can fall to 15 °c.
