Brisbane is an easy city to move around in as it has a reliable transportation system. The Loop offers a free bus service in the City Centre and other business areas.
The bus stops at numerous destinations including the City Botanic Gardens, Central Station, Riverside Centre, QUT, King George Square and Queen Street Mall. However, the bus does not operate at the weekends.
The train network in the city offers rail links from the airport to the Gold Coast and to the Central Business District. There are rail connections to several tourist attractions and the suburban centres.
The main station in the city is the Brisbane Transit Centre. The station has different customer service counters to provide information on the timetable for trains and coaches.
The city also has taxi services throughout the day and the fares are on a meter system. Visitors can also hire chauffeur driven limousines.
With the extensive bikeway network available, cycling has become more and more popular over the past few years.
