Buderim is located in the mountain town of Sunshine Coast in Queensland in Australia. The mountain is an extinct volcano.
The name Buderim is derived from Kabi Kabi Aboriginal word that means hair pin, honey suckle as it grew plenty in this area. As far as industry is concerned this place is a resource for timber getters with huge stands of Beech and cedar that grew across the mountain.
With crops such as coffee and ginger Buderim came to be known as agricultural base for the whole region of Queensland. Even the farming pioneer Burnett achieved award in London in the year 1800.
During the first decade of 2000 housing started developing and this place soon turned into urbanization. Buderim is also rich in cultural heritage with many of the historical sites that are worth visiting.
The climate of this place is quiet comfortable and can be visited at any time of the year.
