Tourist Guide Bundaberg
Bundaberg stands along the banks of Burnett River, at an approximate distance of 385 Km on the northern side of Brisbane, i.e. state capital; and at the distance of 15 Km from coast. Bundaberg has been the main center within Wide-Burnett area of Queensland.
The name ‘Bundaberg’ has been derived from one of the artificial combinations of ‘bunda’, ‘Kabi Aboriginal’ word which goes on to denote ‘important man’ and ‘berg’, i.e. German suffix which indicates ‘mountain’. Colloquially, this city is called ‘Bundy’.
Local group comprising of Aborigines is called ‘Gurang Gurang’.
This place, i.e. Bundaberg, has ‘sister agreements’ with Settsu City (Japan) and Nanning (China).
Bundaberg is known to have a ‘subtropical climate’ with mild winters and hot summers. Maximum temperature on an average comes out to be 30.3 degree Celsius; whereas minimum one comes out to be 10 degree Celsius.
