It is one of the most beautiful lakes in Cairns. It has both salt water and fresh water environment. The Centenary lakes are connected to the Botanic garden. It consists of a Fresh Water Lake which highlights fresh water aquatic life for birds, turtles, water lilies and other plants. The salt water lake is for crabs, for saltwater fish and for mangrove birds.For the visitors it is the perfect place to visit and enjoy picnics and family outings.
