The Great Barrier Reef extends through Queensland Waters for more than 2500 kilometers. The onlookers are filled with awe and amazement at the sight of this great structure. The world’s largest Heritage listed site is made up of over 2900 individual reefs and some 70 coral cays. One who watches The Great Barrier Reef can never forget the experience.

My family of 6 decided to do Reef Experience during our visit to Cairns in December. The trip was going fine until a scuba diver drowned and was only just resuscitated in time. The crew on the boat didn't even notice - passengers who were standing on the boat raised the alarm. Fortunately, the man survived but, understandably, our trip was cut short (we had only spent 10 minutes in the water). We were promised a refund on the journey back and the company then refused to refund us - so we spent over $800 for 10 minutes of snorkeling. If I return to visit the Great Barrier Reef in the future, I would not trust this company with my safety again.
