Sandy Cape Lighthouse

The area off Sandy Cape was known as the Breaksea Spit and has witnessed loss of over 20 vessels. Due to the financial crash, this lighthouse was not assembled and exhibited until 1870. At this lighthouse there are five floors which are connected by an internal staircase. The nearest town is Rainbow beach.
